However, attention is not synonymous with good. This spectacle is a cynical attempt to manufacture controversy for monetary benefit. It is a sign of the times, akin to celebrity boxing matches where notoriety outweighs sporting merit. No serious analyst believes such stunts are beneficial for their respective sports. The two players are under the management of the same agency, which stands to profit from the arrangement.

Ultimately, the most effective method to appreciate the greatness of women's tennis is to view women's tennis. Not staged spectacles that undermine the very sport they claim to promote.
